3) Engaged - on the floor you must be engaged every possession, understame time, score, and situational play, on the bench be ready to cheer shout and talk to your teammates so they are constantly supported and do the same for you when you are on the floor
4) Role - buy into your role on the team, do what your team needs you to do for them to be successful, improve your role by working on your weaknesses in your own time to add to your game
5) Leader - lead by example, invest in your teammates and push them to be better, be extremely knowledgeable about the system your team runs and what you guys must to do win so you can explain it to your teammates at anytime to remind them of what it takes for your team to win
5 Ways to Earn Playing Time Outside of Scoring
1) Know Your Role - know what you can and cannot do at this point in your game and what you MUST do in order to give your team the best chance to win
2) Take Care of the Ball - be a no harm guy, do not cost your team any possessions with bad passes or shots, that puts your coach in a position where they feel they may not be able to trust putting you in the game without you doing something crazy or damaging
3) Play Defense - a team does not need everyone to be able to score, someone needs to be able to stop the other team form scoring, you must crave the challenge and thrive in it
4) Produce in Games - whatever your role is you must do it to the best of your ability every time you step on the floor
5) Be Efficient - get as much good out of as little opportunity as you can, make every play and possession count

1) Communication - always be talking, talk loudly and clearly, be educated about what you say and make sure you say the right thing
2) Positioning - be in the right place at the right time, between your man, the ball and the basket, never let your man between you and the basket, trust your teammates that they will be there to help you if you need them to
3) Athletic Stance - stay low and ready to play, wall up when a defender picks up the ball without fouling
4) Anticipation - be in the right position ready to stop the offense, read what the offense is doing and their tendancies so you are prepared to shut them down
